OneGoodCause.org was established to provide catastrophically injured service members and
their families
with
assistance during hospitalization and rehabilitation, as well as after care
assistance to
ensure mental and
physical well being and long term quality of life.
Our mission is to raise awareness, and raise some serious money for American
soldiers
(soldiers,
sailors, airmen, marines, guardsmen...) wounded in combat
operations.
- THIS IS NOT A PROFIT GENERATING OPERATION
- THE PURPOSE IS TO RAISE FUNDS TO BENEFIT WOUNDED SOLDIERS
- THE FUNDS WILL BE RAISED THROUGH $1, $5, $10, & $20 DONATIONS
- THE CAMPAIGN WILL RUN FROM NOV 11, 2009 THROUGH JULY 4, 2010
- THE MONITARY GOAL IS TO RAISE 3 MILLION DOLLARS
For efficient and rapid implementation, and to accomplish the short term / long term assistance
goal model, we have carefully selected three organizations to support though our fundraising.
All three organizations are "A" rated by the American Institute of Philanthropy, so you can rest
assured knowing your financial contribution will benefit wounded service members, and not be
wasted on frivolous "administrative overhead".
WHY SHORT TERM ASSISTANCE ?
Imagine for a moment, your loved one, son or husband, or wife or daughter has been badly
wounded and is being transported to
a
trauma center hundreds of miles from your home.
Without question, you would pack up
and go. You might have to arrange for someone to take care of the kids, and the pets, and the house. Or maybe you would have to take the kids out of school
and bring them along. Could be a week,
or it could be a month,
you don't know, but I guarantee
you
would do
what
ever
it
takes t o be there.
Odds are, you would have to take a leave of absence from your job, and you would have
limited
income. You would still have to pay your bills at home, and now you're faced with
the
expenses of travel, and food, and temporary housing. How in the world would you do it?
Just put yourself in those shoes and imagine that for a moment.
That's exactly why 20% of the funds we raise
( $600,000.00
goal ) to provide housing
at no cost for
family
members of injured
soldiers during hospitalization and rehabilitation
phases of
treatment, so you
can be there to support your loved one when it matters most.
WHY INTERMEIDATE ASSISTANCE ?

Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund ( 40% ) ( $1,200,000.00 goal ) The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization providing state of the art facilities for the rehabilitation of military personnel who have been catastrophically disabled in combat operations.

Homes for our Troops ( 40% ) ( $1,200,000.00 goal ) Homes for our Troops is a 501(c)(3) organization providing specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans at no cost.
